Residential Support Worker

NO previous experience required - Just a passion and drive to work with vulnerable children with learning disabilities and additional needs.

TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT role - 12.04 an hour with holiday pay on top. Equivalent to 23,151.50 per annum.

Location: Mold, Flintshire

Contract/Hours: Permanent, Full-time - 37 hours per week (on a rota basis, working days, evenings, waking nights and weekends)

About the role

The Residential Support Worker role is an entry level role where previous experience or qualifications are not required. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and the desire to give the best care to children and young people. This is a great opportunity to get your 'foot in the door' and allows you to explore the field of Social Care and decide if it's the right fit for you, whilst gaining practical experience!

You'll create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop, ensuring wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance and advocacy. It's key that they stay safe and healthy and can reach their full potential.

My client can offer an in-depth induction process and training. Alongside this, they will enrol you in the qualifications which you need to work in the industry, regular supervision with your line manager, team meetings etc. will ensure you feel part of our team.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

You'll be engaging in enjoyable activities both within the project and within the community. You'll be assuming responsibility for the personal care and daily routines of the young individuals, providing support with personal hygiene, communication, administering of medication and ensuring the safeguarding of our young people by accurate recording and reporting.

  • Understand how to engage with young people.
  • Have a positive approach and 'can do' attitude.

  • Be ready to complete a level 3 in Health and Social Care within 2 years of commencing employment with us, fully funded by us.
