As we continue to grow and improve our operations, we are seeking a proactive and ambitious Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the operational efficiency and longevity of our manufacturing equipment. By focusing on machine maintenance, repair, and preventive work, you will ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of our production lines. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining high-quality output, reducing costs, and supporting our commitment to sustainability.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct thorough inspections of all installed machinery, including related parts and components.
- Perform adjustments and repairs on production lines.
- Use shop floor equipment and machine tools to fabricate or repair necessary parts.
- Ensure planned and corrective maintenance tasks are competed as scheduled.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and repair machinery breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
- Identify the reasons for machinery breakdowns and determine the needed repairs, reconditioning, or replacements.
- Provide reports to the engineering manager and complete all relevant paperwork and record keeping.
- Carry out all tasks in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety procedures.
What We Are Looking For In Our Candidate
Essential:
- At least two years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Must have PLC experience.
- Proficiency in setting up machinery.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles
- Experience of fault finding/repair of fans, pumps, motors, hydraulics and similar.
- Experience in basic electrical principles.
- Skilled in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of machinery.
- Self-sufficient and proactive, with a strong motivation and confidence in managing machinery independently.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying information effectively to shift managers.
- Capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrates a positive work ethic, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
Desirable:
- Project management skills, with the ability to lead improvement initiatives.
- A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and implementing innovative solutions.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
