Blossom House is an Ofsted-rated ā€œOutstandingā€ specialist school for children aged 3 ā€“ 19 years of age with speech, language and communication difficulties. We are rapidly expanding and are therefore looking for a new School Office Administrator to join our team.

What the role involves:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced & enthusiastic Office Administrator & First Aid Coordinator to join our very busy School Administration Team. This role would ideally suit someone with a high level of administrative & First Aid experience. You will need excellent collaboration skills, good attention to detail, very good computer skills, an ability to multi-task, continually learn in the role, and develop good working relationships with children, parents, colleagues and external members.

The ideal candidate will have:

ā€¢ Experience of administration work, preferably in a school environment.

ā€¢ Experienced First Aider

ā€¢ Able to work efficiently under pressure within a teamā€“ this is a very busy school office!

ā€¢ Have experience of and be competent in the use and maintenance of a school management information system.

ā€¢ Be well organised with good administrative skills.

ā€¢ Have the ability to prioritise and work accurately with attention to detail.

ā€¢ Have excellent communication skills, particularly in the drafting of correspondence, formal letters and responding to queries.

ā€¢ Be able to build effective working relationships and work well as part of a team.

ā€¢ Be proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel and ideally have experience of using databases.

ā€¢ Understand and respect sensitivity of pupil, carer and staff records and ensure confidentiality of all written and verbal communications.

ā€¢ Understand the importance of safeguarding within a school environment.
