We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join a London Borough Council on a 6-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified lawyer to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

ROLE: Commercial Property LawyerLOCATION: South LondonRATE: £40.00 to £50.00 per hour (umbrella)CONTRACT: 6 months, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases and licences.
  • Handling assignments, academy conversions, and school disposals.
  • Providing legal advice on disposals, acquisitions, and related commercial property transactions.
  • Preparing title reports and conducting property due diligence.

About You:

  • A qualified Commercial Property Lawyer with 2-3 years of post-qualified experience.
  • Ideally, experience working with local authorities (although not essential).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property law and the ability to handle a diverse range of commercial property matters.
  • You will be flexible and able to work autonomously with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
