We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a vibrant school in Heysham. This part-time role involves working Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 3:15pm, providing support between Year 6 and Year 3 classes. The position is set to start immediately and is initially contracted until Easter 2025, with the possibility of extension.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide general classroom support to both Year 6 and Year 3.
- Assist in the delivery of Individual Pupil Programmes (IPPs).
- Support the teacher in creating a stimulating learning environment.
- Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor the progress of students.
- Assist students with special educational needs, ensuring they are integrated and receive the support they need.
- Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient and supportive approach to student development.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Level 2 qualification or equivalent
