We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a vibrant school in Heysham. This part-time role involves working Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 3:15pm, providing support between Year 6 and Year 3 classes. The position is set to start immediately and is initially contracted until Easter 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide general classroom support to both Year 6 and Year 3.
  • Assist in the delivery of Individual Pupil Programmes (IPPs).
  • Support the teacher in creating a stimulating learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor the progress of students.
  • Assist students with special educational needs, ensuring they are integrated and receive the support they need.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A patient and supportive approach to student development.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent
