Teaching Assistant (Year 1) - Morecambe
Location: Morecambe
Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant
Contract: 4 days per week (Tuesday to Friday), starting January 2025 until July 2025.
Salary: £14 per hour

They are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to our Year 1 pupils.
The Role:
As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping young students achieve their full potential. Working closely with the class teacher, you will support daily lessons, assist with classroom management, and provide one-to-one or small-group assistance as needed. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Year 1 teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they understand the material and stay on task.
- Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining a safe, tidy learning environment.
- Help monitor student progress, offering encouragement and support where needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, contributing to a strong school community.
- Supervise students during break times and other activities as needed.
- Support children with any additional learning needs, adapting materials and approaches as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A passion for working in education and supporting young learners.
- Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
