Our client, a leading international engineering company, are looking to recruit an organised, professional and efficient Purchasing Administrator to complement their Engineering Team.

Reporting to and working with the Production Director, duties to include:

路 Monitor stock levels and Supplier performance, identify purchasing needs and resolve any issues and concerns.

路 Research potential vendors

路 Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

路 Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)

路 Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.

路 Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.

路 Prepare cost analyses.

路 Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.

路 Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.

路 Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.

路 Uphold the company Quality & HSE Procedures.

A background/knowledge within an engineering/production environment together with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings would be an advantage.

In addition, you will also possess excellent negotiation, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and/or Sage software would be desirable.
