Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the daily management and learning activities of a mixed Reception and Year 1 class.
  • Support the delivery of educational content, particularly focusing on early years foundation stage (EYFS).
  • Help in implementing phonics programs using a schematic approach, aiding children in their early reading and writing skills.
  • Engage with children individually and in groups, facilitating a positive learning environment.
  • Assist the teacher with preparation and organization of learning materials and classroom environment.
  • Monitor and support the progress of children, providing feedback to teachers on student achievements and challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in EYFS is advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering phonics using a schematic approach is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young children in learning activities.
