SEN Teaching Assistant - Morecambe:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join one of schools near Morecambe. You will be supporting children with complex needs. This role is to start in January and will run until July.

You will be required to support pupils in small groups and on a 1-1 basis.

Position Details:

  • Location: Morecambe
  • Position: SEN TA
  • Hours: 8:30am-3pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £85 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: July 2025

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
