We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a friendly, boutique accountancy practice, based in the Cotswolds, close to Chipping Norton. The role will be to support a growing client base across a range of sectors, predominantly sole traders and SMEs.

Along with a competitive salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and pension, there is the option of hybrid working. Ideally this will be a full-time role, however, a part time position may be considered for the right candidate.

Reporting directly to the Director, as Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 or FRS 105
  • Corporation tax returns
  • Personal tax computations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • CIS returns
  • Payroll reviews
  • Pre-year-end planning work to provide clients with projections and performance reviews, management of deadlines and workflows
  • Support and develop the Accounts Assistant

  • Qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA
  • At least 4 years’ experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Good general IT skills and extensive knowledge of Xero would be ideal
  • Technically competent with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
