As a Sous Chef responsibilities include:
- Producing high quality dishes, in both design and taste
- Assisting with menu planning and direction, whilst working with the team to run seasonal specials
- Overseeing and supervising kitchen staff
- Making sure the kitchen is in good condition complying with food safety standards, with stations kept clean
- Preparing food
- Scheduling breaks throughout the day
- Training of kitchen staff
- Ordering produce with our suppliers
- Monitoring and maintaining kitchen supplies
- Solving any potential problems that may arise on and off service
- The ability to work all sections in the kitchen
Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in the role of Sous Chef with a drive to be a key member within the team here at Barluga.
