Electrical Panel Builder / Plant Wirer

First Achieve is hiring on behalf of a specialist engineering company that supplies advanced industrial technology worldwide. With over 60 years of experience, they provide custom-built equipment alongside a recognised range of standard products, serving industries that require cutting-edge material processing solutions.

As they continue to grow, we are seeking an Electrical Panel Builder / Plant Wirer to join their team in Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electrical control cabinets, remote boxes, and terminal boxes based on schematics and layouts provided by engineering.

  • Wire projects according to cable schedules, ensuring neat and efficient routing of trunking and tray.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to verify and update schematics and cable schedules as required.

  • Conduct electrical testing of plant equipment under production supervision.

  • Ensure job budgets are met while working closely with production supervision.

  • Perform electrical repairs on workshop plant and machinery when necessary.

  • Carry out PAT testing of company portable appliances.

Requirements:
  • 18th Edition Qualification (essential) to ensure compliance with current legislation.

  • Experience working in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Forklift and scissor lift licences (desirable).

  • Comfortable working at heights and open to occasional travel for on-site work.
