Description

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee multiple sites in Scotland, operating as part of the Senior Management Team and playing a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations ensuring services are delivered on time and in budget.

As a Senior Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of scheduling and route planning; driving a culture of excellence, a safety-first focus, and maximising efficiency's in budget/cost.

You will effectively engage, coach, develop and manage teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety within service delivery.

Profile

To be successful in the role of Senior Operations Manager, you will need previous experience of coaching and mentoring people to motivate high standards of work, with comprehensive people management expertise and a track record of ensuring constructive outcomes. You will be an inspirational leader with excellent organisation skills, enthusiasm, and flexibility, you will encourage commitment, pride and delivery to high standards of work.

Essential skills required for this role:

  • Previous track record of managing people across a multi site/depot structure with multiple departments to deliver results
  • Delivery of staff training and recruitment strategies
  • Creating efficiency when scheduling and organising work for a substantial workforce
  • Inspirational and Motivational Leadership style
  • Budget Control/Management
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
  • Computer literacy
  • Full UK driving license
  • Scheduling works within a logistics background may be advantageous.
