 Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead significant groundworks and roadwork projects. This role is pivotal to ensuring project safety, efficiency, and successful delivery according to client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Uphold a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting inductions, and ensuring the use of proper PPE.
  • Project Management: Drive project completion within established timeframes, budgets, and specifications.
  • Team and Subcontractor Management: Oversee on-site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring cohesive operations.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and the project team.
  • Procurement Coordination: Ensure timely acquisition of materials and equipment for project needs.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct routine safety audits as required by company policy.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain direct communication with clients, ensuring project outcomes align with quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Site Manager, specifically in groundworks projects.
  • Certifications: SMSTS (5 Day), CSCS card, and First Aid Certificates.
  • Specialist Skills: Temporary Works Co-ordinator/Supervisor certification.
  • Project Planning: Proficiency in creating short- and long-term project programmes and producing RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial and contractual understanding within civil engineering.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Licence: Valid UK driver’s licence.
