Job Overview:

Our client are looking for an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor to join their team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company. This role will involve overseeing and managing the day-to-day production activities, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes while adhering to company standards for quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management within the FMCG sector, excellent leadership skills, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Production Teams: Lead, manage, and motivate production staff to achieve production goals and maintain a high level of performance, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Production Planning: Monitor production schedules, ensuring that production targets are met in a timely manner, and that materials and manpower are allocated efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process, addressing any quality issues immediately, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures, working closely with other departments to implement improvements in production processes.
  • Reporting: Track and report on production performance, downtime, and other key metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommending solutions for any issues.
  • Training & Development: Train and develop production team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and safely.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management for production materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimising waste.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address production issues quickly and effectively.
