Job Description:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and improving our production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations across the site. You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, providing hands-on engineering support to prevent downtime and maintain high standards of production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems within the production facility.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults on machinery, equipment, and control systems.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.

Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruptions and meet operational targets.

Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation of work completed.

Work closely with the engineering team to ensure effective resource planning and equipment reliability.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Engineer role, ideally within an FMCG environment.

Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience with machinery, including fault-finding, repair, and maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.

Familiarity with PLC systems and automated machinery.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Flexibility to work shifts or on-call as required.
