Job Description:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and improving our production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operations across the site. You will work across electrical and mechanical systems, providing hands-on engineering support to prevent downtime and maintain high standards of production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems within the production facility.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults on machinery, equipment, and control systems.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruptions and meet operational targets.

  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation of work completed.

  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure effective resource planning and equipment reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Engineer role, ideally within an FMCG environment.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience with machinery, including fault-finding, repair, and maintenance.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automated machinery.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent) are highly desirable.

  • Flexibility to work shifts or on-call as required.
