Reaseheath College is a highly distinguished specialist in land-based education and training, with a leading-edge technical facility providing state-of-the-art research and development across food and drink. With an increasingly growing reputation, the college serves as a hub of training excellence for the Dairy Sector in the UK, offering both outstanding learning for students and a full range of training services to external clients either at their workplace or at the college campus.
As an external industry approved training provider, in addition Dairy, the Reaseheath Food Centre facility boasts of Bakery and Butchery Capabilities and operates under BRC standards. Due to increase in demand for specialist training within the industry, our Food and Drink Centre is looking to expand the team to support with commercial activity and delivery of highly regarded qualifications to the Reaseheath student cohort.
About the role
We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Food and Drink Industry Training team, as a Dairy Industrial Trainer. The purpose of this role is to deliver bespoke food skills training courses to external clients both in their place of work and occasional delivery on campus. The post holder will also support the academic team with the delivery of HACCP, Food Safety and H&S related qualifications to students.
Key responsibilities:
- Arrange and deliver a range of technical Food and Drink courses to external clients within the Dairy Sector either on the clients site or occasionally on campus.
- Support the training team in development and creation of delivery material for clients, and tailor delivery material to specific client needs e.g. food safety or food science.
- Manage and service assigned client accounts, ensuring client needs are met through effective end to end relationships and monitoring of business impact / client satisfaction
- Identify and develop new and existing client relationships within the industry
- To deliver HACCP, Food Safety and H&S related qualifications internally to students and externally to clients.
The successful candidate will:
- GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/5 or equivalent
- HND or Degree in Food related subject
- Demonstrable and successful evidence of applying food and drink knowledge and skills
- Evidence of contacts within the industry and food chains
- Proven ability to seek out new opportunities for income streams to be developed

The role does involve travelling and mileage and accommodation costs (when required) are covered. For substantial mileage the College will provide a vehicle.
