About the Role

We are currently seeking a Quality Auditor to join our client based in Wardle, Nantwich. In this role, you will collaborate with all departments to ensure compliance with BRCGS food safety standards and help maintain the operational quality of the sites.

As a key member of the internal auditing team, you will lead and support continuous improvement efforts through internal audits, inspections, and ad hoc projects. These projects could range from daily adjustments and validations to larger-scale changes. Your role will be crucial in identifying risks, driving behaviour change, and supporting on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits to maintain product safety, quality, and legality in line with BRC Global Standards.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Contribute to customer and third-party audits.
  • Ensure that all new materials are risk-assessed and properly documented for safe storage and handling.
  • Support management review meetings and contribute to ESG targets.
  • Promote safe practices and challenge non-compliance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and welfare across departments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Recognised internal auditing qualification (BRCGS or ISO 9001).
  • HACCP Level 2 qualification.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or food manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (occasional travel to Crewe and Newcastle-under-Lyme sites required).
  • Knowledge of ESG principles (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of BRCGS standards and Organic Food Federation Standards.
