Sonic Summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1-KS4 Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification to provide 1:1 Maths and English support for students with Autism and ADHD who are not currently in mainstream education.
The tutor will work with students who have been out of education for some time and need assistance with core subjects at a lower level, assessing their abilities and reintroducing education into their routine.
The position offers 10-15 hours of work per week during school hours, starting as soon as possible and continuing on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils, UK classroom teaching experience, and be creative and patient.
Salary details are not specified, but candidates must hold the right to work in the UK and have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate.

Job description

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent to provide KS1-KS4 Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis who is not currently accessing mainstream education.

The students have a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. As they have been out of education for some time, they require support with their core subjects, Maths and English, however will be working at a lower level. The tutor will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine whilst a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local Library or the young persons home.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must hold QTS and have a background and strong understanding of SEN.
