Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer, you'll join a busy and reactive design office, collaborating with the team to provide cutting-edge solutions that enhance and improve products. You will bring your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative designs, contributing to the company's continued success and growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create 3D sheet metal designs and generate output data for laser, punch, and press brake machinery using nesting and bending software.
  • Use software tools such as RADAN, RADBEND, Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD, and Vault Basic for 3D and 2D design work.
  • Provide detailed drawing packs to assist operators with folding, welding, and general assembly tasks.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs and manage manufacturing processes through an MRP platform.
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager to review and analyse bespoke product designs.
  • Work independently on various projects, maintaining a high level of accuracy and planning.
  • Troubleshoot design challenges and adapt to evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, particularly for 2D plan layouts and laser etching.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive drawing packs for manufacturing processes, including forming, welding, and assembly layouts.
