Your main role will be to :
- ensure personal and team safety and promote this culture.
- participate in departmental and site safety initiatives.
- undertake all mechanical work as required.
- work closely and in collaboration with the Mechanical Workshop Coordinator and the Workshop Leader.
- liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities.
- comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP's) and permits to work where appropriate.
- monitor the Engineering Requests (ER's) and carry out appropriate tasks.
- carry out plant checks as defined.
- - when necessary, work overtime and planned shutdowns.
- - when requested be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns.
- participation in the Engineering call out system.
- comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
- comply with the Company's Code of Conduct
You will need:
- a Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship
- a Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or 5 years experience in mechanical engineering)
- a forklift licence is desirable
