We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter who is happy to work a 3 shift pattern (8 hours) after a perdio fo trainig ion days.

Your role will be to:

  • promote a 'Safety First' culture.
  • participate in departmental and site safety initiatives.
  • undertake all mechanical work as required.
  • work closely and in collaboration with the Mechanical Workshop Coordinator and the Workshop Leader.
  • liaise with the Shift Production Leader on production priorities.
  • comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP's) and permits to work where appropriate.
  • monitor the Engineering Requests (ER's) and carry out appropriate tasks.
  • carry out plant checks as defined.
  • - when necessary, work planned shutdowns and be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns.
  • comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
  • comply with the Company's Code of Conduct.

You will need:

  • a Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship
  • a Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering)
