Your new companyI am working with a dynamic and forward-thinking company based in Nelson, who are known for its commitment to excellence and providing a supportive work environment. Due to expansion, they are looking for a skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team.

Your new roleAs a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit policies and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts. This involves assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, monitoring customer accounts, and implementing effective debt recovery procedures. You will maintain accurate financial records and foster strong relationships with customers, playing a crucial role in supporting the company's financial health and stability. Key responsibilities include debt collection, financial reporting, customer relations, compliance and risk management, and process improvement. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need proven experience as a Credit Controller with strong knowledge of credit management and debt collection processes, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, along with high attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have strong organisational and time management skills. The ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams is crucial.
