Our client based in Nelson is looking for Mechanical Fitters on a permanent basis, the client is a world-renowned manufacturer and are looking for candidates with experience of assembling/fitting food manufacturing equipment.

The Job

• Build and assemble large scale food manufacturing products
• Read shop drawings and assemble high quality finished products under the guidance of our assembly manager
• Use of hands tools.
• Machine Assembly
• Able to work alone or part of a team.
• Ability to work to a high level of quality
• Able to work in safe manner in line with the company’s Health & Safety policies

About you

• Timeserved Engineers preferred but not essential 
• Previous experience fitting/assembling food manufacturing/bakery equipment
• Competent in reading engineering/shop drawings
• Bench Fitting or Mechanical Fitting experience
• Must have good attendance record and excellent timekeeping
• Pneumatics experience advantageous
