What the role Involves:
- Manage and optimise supply chain operations, including procurement, forecasting and incoming deliveries from overseas suppliers.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Look after stock control, inventory and stores alongside warehouse team.
- Monitor and analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain and facilitate compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to supply chain and logistics.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.
Ideal Skills
- Proven experience in supply chain management.Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in SAGE would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience within the electronics market is a plus, but not essential.
