JOB – Manufacturing Engineer LOCATION – New Milton, HampshireTERM- PermanentSALARY – £35,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the New Milton, Hampshire area with experience in the assembly, electro-mechanical, electronics or similar Manufacturing Industry. Your main duties will include assisting to improve and implement new manufacturing processes and tackle any production issues day to day. We considering both Junior and Senior options for the position.The Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as an Engineer.
  • Previous experience working with engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Any understanding of ERP or similar planning softwares.
  • Understanding of assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of BOM’s, Routings / Planning and other manufacturing tools.
  • Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as team
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to electronics would be beneficial but not essential.
The Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:
  • Oversee and lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects within manufacturing.
  • Managing day to day planning to ensure correct BOM’s, Tooling and Routing’s are in place.
  • Liaising with the management team to advise where manufacturing processes can improve efficiency, reduce waste costs and contribute culture of continuous improvement.
  • Carrying out new process implementations.
  • Helping to advise on factory layouts and new product introductions.
