Heat Treatment Lead, New Milton, £40,000

Purpose

As a Heat Treatment Lead, you will take full ownership of all heat treatment and dip brazing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You will lead process improvements, maintain procedural documentation, and oversee operator training while representing the company during external audits, including NADCAP.

The business is now looking for a Heat Treatment Lead to contribute to the streamlined success of projects and services provided.

As the successful Heat Treatment Lead, you’ll benefit from flexibility within your 37-hour working week, over 4 days (Monday – Thursday).

As a Heat Treatment Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and performing heat treatment and dip brazing operations to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry, business, and customer specifications.
  • Updating and maintaining internal processes, procedures, and data sheets.
  • Training, approving, and overseeing heat treatment operators.
  • Specifying and verifying post-heat treatment inspection and validation requirements.
  • Representing the company as a heat treatment process expert during external audits.
  • Staying up to date with governing specifications and ensuring procedural updates are implemented.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to achieve manufacturing objectives.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety regulations.

As a Heat Treatment Lead, you will have:

  • Hands-on experience in heat treatment operations.
  • Familiarity with NADCAP and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of tensile, hardness, and conductivity testing.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational and IT skills.
