Our client, a leading player within the Nuclear generation industry, is now actively recruiting an Emergency Preparedness Assistant to join their emergency planning team in Dungenness.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

  • Strong IT skills with clerical expertise
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Flexible but a proactive approach
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo security clearance to CTC level

Role information:

  • Basic maintenance and up-keep of onsite emergency facilities
  • Assist the Emergency Preparedness Lead in the upgrade of emergency facilities and liaise with maintenance and contractors for facility enhancements
  • Assist in the preparation of site emergency exercises and scenarios
  • Assist to deliver emergency exercise plans
  • Liaise with station staff to collate and disseminate exercise feedback
  • Arrange maintenance and upgrade of defective or non-operational pagers
  • Analyse data on pager test to enable compliance with test requirements
  • Act as an 'Umpire' when required for emergency exercises
  • Update Emergency documentation when due for review or to support changes in the arrangements.
