Due to creation of a new Service Centre, we have a new opportunity for an experienced and drivenWorkshop Managerto join an established British manufacturer based near Newark.The role will involve overseeing the planning, development and output of a specialist valve service centre.

The successful candidate will be an extremely strong man manager with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of colleagues clients and suppliers.

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the workshop including Planning, Work Hours/Overtime andHealth & Safety. Candidates must possess previous experience of working in a managerial or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

Candidates will also be qualified within an engineering discipline, experienced with valve, actuator or rotating equipment service.

Role Description:

  • Responsible day to day operation of workshop and warehouse
  • Ensure products are serviced and ready for dispatch on time
  • Ensure products meet quality standards
  • Purchasing & Stock Control
  • Manage production schedules
  • Resolve any customer issues
  • Compliance with Health & Safety Standards
  • Training and Inductions for new staff

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong Man Management skills gained within a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Demonstrable background within manufacturing engineering with either Mechanical or Electrical qualifications
  • Ability to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
