Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Accountant for our Local Authority client.

The post holder will assist with year-end following the implementation of the new finance system part way through their financial year.

The Responsibilities of the Accountant will be;

  • Support the Principal Accountant or Principal Capital Accountant in promoting best financial practices across the authority.
  • Assist in preparing financial accounts for assigned directorates.
  • Assist in preparing budgets for assigned directorates.
  • Main duties will be month-end reconciliation, prepayments, accruals and managing the insurance claims.

The Ideal candidate for the Accountant will have;

  • Part Qualified accountant.
  • Local Authority finance experience.
  • Experience in financial management and accounting practice.
  • Staskeholder management.
