Learning and Development Officer

Our client are a Further Education College, whose work in the community is unprecedented in the area. Delivering hundreds of courses from vocational and academic courses to apprenticeships and higher education courses. Leadership development is a key part of their training and development. The role:
My client are looking for someone who can oversight the learning and professional development of the staff across the college. Working closely with the Organisational Development & Engagement Managers to contribute to the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the college.
Duties of the position:
- To identify learning and development needs across the college
- Lead training modules and working groups
- To assist the college with any internal and external training projects
- Organisational and operations development
- Lead, design and develop delivery of management and leadership programmes
What you need:
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role within Learning and Development
- Certificate in Personal Development Learning and Development or CIPD Level 3
- Experience liaising with external stakeholders or other professionals
- Demonstrate a knowledge of and understanding of safeguarding/child protection issues relevant to post
- Strong interest in systems, and processes that will add value and assist in managing change in a HR Environment
- Experience working in Further Education or in the public sector is an advantage
