This role seeks an accomplished Capital Works Manager with a strong background in the housing and construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of capital work projects for the housing portfolio across Broxtowe Borough Council's in Nottinghamshire.

Description

  • Organisational lead for planned works projects across the housing portfolio in Nottinghamshire
  • Reporting into the Head of Asset Management & Development
  • Management of a team of Building Surveyors and Capital Works Team.
  • Responsibility of circa 4,500 residential properties.
  • Overseeing the strategic plan for external contractors delivering works.
  • Maintenance & construction.
  • Health & Safety and CDM.
  • Ensuring of high quality homes for our customers.
  • Retrofit decarbonisation projects.
  • Financial management.

Profile

A successful Capital Works Manager should have:

  • Relevant construction qualifications.
  • Proven track record operating in the social housing sector.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, property management and planned works programme strategies.
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
