Deliver and maintain products and services that manage and optimise the business processes for core back-office applications to enable the business to deliver scalable services to its customers. We provide a front-line service to help diagnose issues arising from the use of the technical solutions we own, as well as for staff interacting with those systems

Key responsibilities:

Development: Develops, codes, builds, installs, configures, and maintains IT solutions to deliver automated business processes and solutions, based on pre-agreed technical instructions.

BAU Support: Monitors business-as-usual activities for technical failures, logging those failures and recovering automated processes to completion whilst maintaining high levels of communication with stakeholders. Refers/escalates unfamiliar issues to a senior member of the team.

Documentation: Writes specifications, technical instructions and documentation for solutions that are to be delivered.

Project planning: Participates in project planning meetings to share their knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits. Communicates operational requirements and development forecasts.

Testing: Tests code, processes, and deployments created by self and others to identify ways to streamline and minimise errors.

Maintenance and troubleshooting: Performs routine application maintenance outlined in documented processes, to ensure the production environment runs smoothly. Develops solutions to minimise maintenance requirements.

Performance management: Ensures that code written performs optimally. Recommends performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications to under-performing routines.
