Job Title: EstimatorLocation: NG22 0PQSector: Construction / ManufacturingType: PermanentSalary: £30,000 - £35,000Sutton Recruitment are working exclusively to recruit a Estimator to join a leading company who specialises in the production of innovative precast reinforced, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete products.As the largest independent producer of pre-stressed bridge beams in Britain, who offer a comprehensive range of beam profiles as well as bespoke reinforced and post-tensioned products developed and tailored to the needs of individual projects.This role reports in to the Senior Estimator whilst working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Quantity Surveying Manager.Key Tasks• Preparing quotations in line with customers’ enquiries, the companies standard response formats and commercial requirements.• Maintaining records of enquiries.• Coordinating with suppliers to ensure the accuracy of quotations.• Contribution to the development of the company’s commercial response.Performance measures• Accuracy and presentation of quotation submissions.• Timeliness of response to customer enquiries.• Contribution to the company’s overall sales and marketing effort.Key requirements include• Technical knowledge of the construction industry.• The ability to communicate at all levels of business, both internally and externally.• The ability to read drawings and accurately prepare estimates for competitive submission.• A confident approach to problem solving.• Excellent competence in MS Excel, Outlook and Word and sound general computer skills.Requirements for the candidate:Degree qualified Construction-Civil engineering Microsoft Excel - advancedMicrosoft Outlook - advancedMicrosoft PowerPoint - basicMicrosoft Project - basicMicrosoft Word - advancedWhat’s on offer• Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm (30 minute lunch un-paid)• 24 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (Birthday off)• Nest Pension; 3% client, 5% employee To be suitable for this role, you must have a full driving license and your own vehicle to begin with.
