CNC Operator
Active Personnel are currently recruiting a CNC Operator to work for our client, a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty doors, on a temp-to-perm basis in Chesterfield.
Package
- £15.00 per hour to start, increasing to £15.75 per hour after 12 weeks

The Role
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture high-quality components for heavy-duty doors.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precision in production.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate outputs and efficient production cycles.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production and machine performance.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and productivity.
- General duties as required.
The Candidate
- Proven experience operating CNC machines (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Awareness and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Flexibility to undertake a range of tasks as needed.
- CNC programming knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
- Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Contract Type
- Temp-to-Perm: This role starts as a temporary position, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
