Are you a passionate and detail-oriented Payroll Professional looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We're seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to join our clients thriving team in Newbridge, Edinburgh.

As a Payroll Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our 3,600 employees. You'll work closely with our team to handle a variety of payroll tasks, including:

  • Processing Weekly Payroll: Efficiently manage and process weekly payroll using our advanced payroll software (Openpeople).
  • Pension Administration: Process pension payrolls and ensure compliance with pension regulations.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Handle all aspects of employee lifecycle, including new hires, terminations, maternity/paternity leave, and more.
  • Payroll Reporting: Generate accurate and insightful payroll reports for management.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in processing large-volume payroll in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pension schemes and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in computerised payroll accounting methods.
  • Excellent IT skills, with a particular emphasis on Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, v-lookups).
  • In-depth understanding of HMRC legislation, pensions, and tax.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • CIPP qualified or working towards certification.
  • Experience with Workforce Management systems (e.g., elementsuite) is a plus.
