Reed Accountancy are partnered with a returning client as they seeking a Legal Cashier to join their longstanding and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Legal Cashier, or perhaps someone from a banking background or Purchase Ledger looking to make a move and advance their career.

This role is crucial for ensuring all financial operations comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their skills in a supportive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the Financial Controller and team in the efficient operation of the Finance department.
  • Process payments, record and reconcile receipts, and support client-facing staff and team colleagues.
  • Handle bank transfers, bank reconciliations, and process matter and firm-related supplier invoices.
  • Manage petty cash, staff expenses, and company credit cards.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely filing, including bank statements and passbook updates.
  • Perform periodic financial reporting and handle internal and external finance-related queries.
  • Verify and process bank payments and receipts, analyse and process client invoices, and record disbursement invoices.
  • Manage client interest postings and deal with incoming finance post, emails, and telephone calls.
  • Provide general support to the Finance team, including holiday coverage.

The ideal candidate with have strong numeracy skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and strong time management skills, as well as the ability to work accurately under pressure.

The position is fully office based working 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
