Description
Infrastructure & Server Management:- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, focusing on security, availability, performance, and proactive troubleshooting.
- Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and authentication programs, ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of network security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with MSPs for the installation, configuration, and management of Fortinet network appliances.
- Drive network/server upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing service disruption and downtime.
- Manage relationships with external MSPs, ensuring that SLAs, service quality, and performance standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to procure and manage equipment, software, and IT services.
- Lead negotiations and manage IT contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and objectives.
Profile
You will have extensive experience managing fully outsourced Infrastructure environments, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution sector. Being hands on with all standard Microsoft operating systems and windows server environments is a pre-requisite. Including managing networks, security (cyber essentials) and cloud technologies.
You will be also be able to demonstrate high level complex stakeholder management and vendor management, driving SLA's and managing governance and contracts.
