We are currently recruiting for a Customer Services Assistant to assist with coach interchanges on a contract basis

  • Location: East Midlands and South. Covering Donnington, Grantham, Northampton, Rugby, Newbury, Bristol and Tewkesbury

Job details- Seasonal- (July- October approximate) part time 

REED are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to help ensure the smooth and safe operation of our coach interchanges. The role involves assisting customers and drivers to ensure a seamless transition through the interchange. This position is ideal for someone with an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle dynamic situations with calm and patience.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work closely with the operations team to welcome coaches and provide necessary information to customers.
  • Execute interchange procedures as outlined in the Interchange Operational plan.
  • Assist customers in finding their correct vehicle and help less mobile individuals with their luggage.
  • Liaise with drivers to ensure adherence to planned timescales.
  • Ensure coach identification and company branding is correctly displayed.
  • Act as a banksman for reversing coaches and maintain safety standards.
  • Develop working relationships with interchange locations.
  • Follow the company’s Health and Safety risk assessment, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship-building skills and an outgoing, confident personality.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, specifically using a coach microphone.
  • Calm, patient, and able to show initiative and proactivity.
  • Energetic and physically fit to assist with luggage and move quickly between coaches.
  • Skilled in influencing, persuading, and problem-solving.
  • Creative with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs, such as late-running coaches.
