Quality Manager / QA Engineering Manager who has a good understanding of legal standards and procedures- BS EN 10191 & 9001 and a formal qualification in Quality Management is required for and fast expanding and recognised engineering company based in Newbury, Berkshire.

SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits (see below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Quality Manager / QA Engineering Manager who has a good understanding of legal standards and procedures- BS EN 10191 & 9001 and a formal qualification in Quality Management

Working as a Quality Manager / QA Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional standards across all business branches. This on-site position in Newbury will see you responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive quality control processes, designing and reviewing quality standards and procedures, and ensuring strict compliance with all relevant regulations, including BS EN 10191 and 9001. You'll be tasked with testing products and services to guarantee they meet the companys rigorous quality benchmarks, maintaining accurate documentation of procedural changes, and preparing insightful performance reports for key stakeholders.

This role requires a Quality Manager / QA Engineering Manager who is proactive and a detail-oriented professional who can effectively collaborate with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring they adhere to the companys stringent quality standards. You will also be instrumental in ensuring that all processes meet vital safety, legal, and national standards, contributing to the overall success and continued growth of the company.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Quality Manager / QA Engineering Managerwill include:

  • Oversee and implement Quality and document control for all the Business Branches (Hertfordshire, Newbury Wiltshire)
  • Design quality standards, procedures, and specifications for a company
  • Review existing procedures to ensure they meet the current guidelines
  • Test products and service to ensure that they meet quality standards before launch BS EN 10191 & 9001
  • Maintain documentation of procedural changes
  • Prepare performance reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards
  • Ensure that all processes meet safety, legal and other national standards

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of legal standards and procedures- BS EN 10191 & 9001
  • Leadership, analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • A formal qualification in Quality Management e.g. Diploma in Quality Management (UK Chartered Quality Institute, British Standards Institute or equivalent)
  • Preferably trained ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and/or Internal Auditor
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in the Water or Building industries is an advantage
