SALARY- £45,000- £60,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what youre looking for)
My engineering client are looking to take on an experiencedSenior Manufacturing Engineer / Development Engineer with hands on process improvement and design for manufacturing skills, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.
The Senior ManufacturingEngineer/ Mechanical Development Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years or more experience working in another similar hands on Manufacturing / Process improvement role
- Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Previous experience of implementing product and process improvements
- Proficient working with 3D CAD - SolidWorks or similar for DFM
- Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP would be desirable
- Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
- Be able to pay close attention to detail
- Previous experience working in an automotive environment /manufacturing site with vehicles or similar would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team
- Being a strong engineering presence in the department
- Supporting the engineering and production team with the design, development and improvements of products
- Being involved in various NPI activities
- Providing overall engineering support
- Being involved with process development
- Working to the companies Health & Safety requirements
- Creating Work Instructions
- Working hard to bring products to market quickly
