Catering Assistant - Term Time Only
- Reports to: Catering Lead
- Location: Newbury
- Salary: £22,500 FTE
- Type: Full time, Term time (38/52 weeks per year)
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Newbury
Primary Duties
- Support the Catering Manager in delivery of cooking
- To aid in the recording and culinary related administration requirements
- Support on cooking duties linked to the refectory
- To assist in planning, preparing and initiating the menu
- Support the team in the completion of activities that ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in line with the required standards
- Ensure food hygiene and allergen precautions are undertaken
Requirements
- Level 2 qualification in subject area including cookery
- Experience of working in an education setting
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check
- The ability to work under pressure in the kitchen
- Experience of working well within a team
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
