A leading professional services firm are looking for an Accountant to join their closeknit finance team based in Newcastle. They are ideally looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of experience in practice with exposure to both personal and corporate taxation.

Responsibilities

Prepare tax returns for your client portfolio

Handle tax queries from both clients and HMRC

Ensure that engagements letters are in place with clients

Agree fees with clients and ensure they are billed accordingly

Assist other team members with overall management of client needs

Skills & Experience Needed

At least 3 years of experience in a personal/corporate tax environment

Ideally a background in accountancy practice

Strong client management skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word

Ability to handle multiple deadlines and prioritise

Experience with IHT or Trusts is desirable but not essential
