Senior Management Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our client in the Wallsend area. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual who will support the day-to-day financial activities, drive improvements, and enhance profitability across several global facilities. This role is pivotal in providing accurate financial data, developing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Day to day of the role:
  • Analyse financial data to identify improvement potentials, such as conducting ROS analyses, productivity assessments, and efficiency analyses.
  • Develop accurate and timely financial and operating information to meet statutory, site, and centre requirements.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and update assessments, material master, and various ad hoc financial information within SAP.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and reporting in SAP, STARS, and HFM with precision.
  • Assist with annual and interim audits conducted by company auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to transfer pricing rules and policies for the UK.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other sites to address financial issues and provide support.
  • Offer advice and support to department managers on financial aspects of the business.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process and the development of operative plans.
  • Play a pivotal role in various cross-functional business improvement projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with annual reporting including year-end procedures.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Desirable experience in SAP, Hyperion Financial Management, BI, and Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a range of people.
  • Intercultural awareness.
  • QBE, Part qualified or CIMA, ACCA qualified, or equivalent certification.
