My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with limited company accounts and a strong understanding of all-around accounting tasks. This role involves managing timesheets, raising invoices, paying bills, handling expenses, and adding VAT to invoices. 

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Accurately manage timesheets and process payroll for a diverse workforce.
  • Raise invoices and ensure they include the correct VAT.
  • Pay bills on time and manage company expenses efficiently.
  • Handle self-assessment tax returns and limited company accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and submissions.
  • Utilise Sage Payroll and Sage 50 for financial transactions and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
  • Familiarity with handling limited company accounts.
  • Proficient in managing timesheets, raising invoices, paying bills, and dealing with expenses.
  • Knowledge of VAT application and compliance.
  • Experience with self-assessment tax returns and VAT.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in Sage Payroll and Sage 50.
