Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a well-established client in Newcastle in their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting their finance department and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting.
Working in a small but dynamic team, your duties will include:
•        Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks software.
•        Process invoices, payments, and receipts related to property management, including rent payments from tenants and payments to landlords.
•        Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
•        Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, including rental income reports and property expense summaries.
•        Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial activities are accurately recorded.
•        Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and property management regulations.
•        Handle queries related to financial transactions and accounts from landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders.
•        Perform other administrative and financial tasks as required, including assisting with property tax filings and insurance payments.
You will have:
•        Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
•        Proficiency in QuickBooks software.
•        Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
•        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•        Good organizational and time management skills.
•        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•        AAT Level 3 qualified or more.
