Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) I Newcastle City Council  

Reed is currently looking to recruit an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join Newcastle City Council.

Paying £33 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the statutory role of IRO for children in care.
  • Undertake the role of Independent Chairperson for Initial Child Protection Conferences and Child Protection Reviews.
  • Undertake foster carer reviews as needed.

Requirements of this role:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience working as an Independent Reviewing Officer.
