An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Plater.

The purpose of the role is to build fabrications from engineering drawings to correct specifications, tolerances and quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform all duties in line with health, safety and environment regulations and company policies and procedures.

Build a variety of fabrications of varying sizes, thickness and material. Will be following engineering drawings / schematics.

Assemble parts into large semi-complex fabrications ready for welding in accordance with technical drawings.

Work with a minimum of supervision to required standards.

Mark out layouts to aid fabrication sequence.

Operate guillotines and burning equipment such as oxyacetylene.

Train and mentor apprentices.

Operate fabrication machine tools and welding equipment.

Maintain exemplary housekeeping within designated work area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 1 years of experience in a plater role

Experience of working in a workshop environment.

Must have worked in a heavy engineering background.

Competitive remuneration package offered.

Up to £19.66 per hour depending on experience (Additional overtime available)

Salary negotiable and dependent on experience.
