An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Plater.

The purpose of the role is to build fabrications from engineering drawings to correct specifications, tolerances and quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties in line with health, safety and environment regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Build a variety of fabrications of varying sizes, thickness and material. Will be following engineering drawings / schematics.
• Assemble parts into large semi-complex fabrications ready for welding in accordance with technical drawings.
• Work with a minimum of supervision to required standards.
• Mark out layouts to aid fabrication sequence.
• Operate guillotines and burning equipment such as oxyacetylene.
• Train and mentor apprentices.
• Operate fabrication machine tools and welding equipment.
• Maintain exemplary housekeeping within designated work area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a plater role
• Experience of working in a workshop environment.
• Must have worked in a heavy engineering background.

Competitive remuneration package offered.

Up to 19.66 per hour depending on experience (Additional overtime available)

Salary negotiable and dependent on experience.
